Retro underground corridor

Opened in 1955, the Asakusa Underground Street is Japan's oldest surviving underground shopping arcade. Tucked beneath Edo-dori and Umamichi-dori, it features a narrow, low-ceilinged corridor lined with small businesses. Visitors find tiny izakaya, bars, a barbershop, and even an unusual "electric qigong" clinic.
