Tomioka Hachiman Shrine is Tokyo's largest Hachiman shrine, located in Fukagawa. Known as the birthplace of Edo sumo, the shrine hosts the famous Yokozuna and Ōzeki stone monuments. Every three years, it becomes the vibrant center of the Fukagawa Hachiman Matsuri, offering a lively mix of mikoshi processions and a water-splashing ceremony.
