VELVET OVERHIGH’M dmx is a legendary rock bar in Shinjuku’s Ni-chome, known for its serious vinyl collection and high-pressure JBL sound system. Founded by drummer Makoto Aihara, it plays 4,000 records from the 60s–70s and serves as an immersive listening space rather than a dance club. The interior creates a cozy, moody atmosphere with walls lined in vinyl sleeves.
